International hit shoe brand iGUANEYE has officially arrived in Perth ready for some west coast love.  Put your best foot forward with this trendy new minimalist footwear brand, a fitting candidate for our active lifestyle.

Established almost 10 years ago in Porto, Portugal and priding itself with 100% local materials and production, iGUANEYE won 1st place at the National Award Creative Industries.

iGUANEYE is the next generation in comfort, with a unique and edgy blueprint that is a definite conversation starter. iGUANEYE is expanding globally, allowing us lucky Western Australians to enjoy their funky and comfortable shoes.

‚ÄúOur shoes look different. That‚Äôs why we love them. Because they are a little like each of us. And if you have the courage to be a little different - to be yourself - then iGUANEYE is for you.‚ÄĚ Sam Maitra, Director of iGUANEYE Australia

What could be a better fitting for the Perth summer lifestyle of 2021? Light and slip on footwear combined with our sandy beaches and botanical gardens.

‚ÄúHow far can you strip back the shoe and still have comfort and protection?‚ÄĚ Olivier Taco - designer and founder of iGUANEYE, asked himself this question:

Olivier discovered that the early Amazonians dipped their feet in liquid rubber to protect themselves and move faster on the unsafe forest floor. It was this tradition that was the inspiration for iGUANEYE.

Locals of Perth may be unaware that common footwear is not healthy for your feet. Thongs offer little in terms of arch support and force your toes to grip and claw to the thong when you walk.

A study in ScienceDirect stated that ‚Äúfootwear design should focus on finding the balance between ensuring that the foot will be protected by the shoe whilst allowing for natural foot motion and structure to be maintained‚ÄĚ.

IGUANEYE shoes give you the feeling of being barefoot with a uniquely minimalist design that sticks to your feet.

You will be able to find iGUANEYE online through their website or Instagram and Facebook pages.
