Calling all sushi fanatics! Ranging in price, location and dining experience, here are five of the top sushi joints spread throughout our city that you simply MUST try.

Tak’E Sushi

WHERE: Shop 50, Dianella Plaza, Corner Alexander Drive & Grand Promande, Stirling.

Sushi Tak'E

My favourite local sushi place, Tak’E, specialises in takeaway, offering fast, honest food at affordable prices. Efficiency permeates their tight working spaces and the result is simply brilliant sushi. Also on the menu are a vast selection of bento boxes, donburi and udon noodle dishes. Their thin, mini sushi rolls, priced at just $3.50, are the perfect snack for anytime during the day and are definitely a favourite of mine. Tak’E’s consistency has earned them a phenomenal 4.7/5 rating on Zomato, with one user claiming to take a 20 minute drive just to get his sushi fix. Travel on over to Dianella for some authentic Japanese cuisine at a low price!

Mr. Munchies Sushi

WHERE: 4/669 Beaufort Street, Mount Lawley, Perth

Mr Munchies Sushi

If you want to continue to get the most bang for your buck, Mr. Munchies is the place to be. Freshly made and consistent, this Mount Lawley gem is acclaimed by critics and the public alike, amassing over 1800 reviews on Zomato averaging a whopping 4.2/5. Offering a series of Westernised sushi (i.e. the “Cheesy Potato Roll”) alongside traditional and premium rolls, Mr. Munchies just gets it. If you’re still not convinced, a nifty ‘customise’ option allows customers to design their very own unique sushi rolls and salads.

James Parker Sushi and Sake

WHERE: Shop 2, 182 James Street, Northbridge WA

James Parker Sushi

If you’re looking for a more luxurious, contemporary take on Japanese dining, look no further. James Parker upholds an amazing standard for providing Japanese delicacies and, of course, especially good sushi. With an impressive 4/5 rating on Zomato and free refills on their Japanese tea, it’s no wonder you have to making a booking prior to dining in. At James Parker, you get what you pay for – fresh ingredients, a unique atmosphere, original interior design, gorgeous decor and sensational service that is literally paced to your dining experience.

Kagura Sushi House

WHERE: Shop 5 25 Preston Street, Como, WA

Kaguru sushi house

For those of you south of the river, Kagura Sushi House has arguably one of the best small-scale sushi trains here in Perth. Lovely decor, great variety and traditional Japanese cuisine are just a few highlights of this cosy restaurant. Delicately plated up, the sushi and cooked meals look and taste delicious.

Nobu Sushi

WHERE: Crown Metropol, Crown Perth, Great Eastern Highway, Burswood WA

Crown Perth sushi

If you find yourself losing out at the Crown casino, drop by Nobu – unlike the former, you won’t regret this decision. While on the pricey side, the high quality of food and its variety, including  hot and cold dishes, sushi, salads, seafood, bento boxes and donburi, certainly makes up for it. Nobu’s Chefs’ consistency and perfectionist qualities have accumulated the restaurant over 3000 reviews on Zomato, contributing to their 4.2/5 rating – absolutely astonishing. You cannot go wrong dining in at Nobu Sushi at the Crown.
