World Cocktail Day set to hit Perth on 13 May

he shakers are polished, strainers poised and Signature Sips recipes ready to go... World Cocktail Day is one of the biggest days of the year at Sneakers & Jeans – and for hospo staff around the world.  

“World Cocktail Day offers us a meaningful opportunity to celebrate cocktails globally and represents a day of importance to bartenders around the world” said S&J Group Bars Manager, Keegan Hartslief – who joined the S&J group earlier this year following a two-year stint as Seedlip’s National Spirits Ambassador.

“In previous years we’ve created iconic cocktails with an S&J twist – last year as Perth was midway through lockdown 1.0, we shared the secrets behind our most favourite and popular cocktails across the S&J venue portfolio for people to recreate at home. This year, we wanted to do something a little different – and we know people are going to love it!”

This World Cocktail Day, S&J are pumped to launch ‘S&J Signature Sips’ – an extra-special cocktail list showcased across every S&J venue, celebrating each venues’ respective signature cocktails. 

“It’s an exciting idea that the team have come up with” say’s S&J CEO, Andy Freeman. “Not only is this activation uniting S&J’s incredible bartending talent – who all train together under Keegan’s training program – it’s a killer activation which really unites our eclectic portfolio of venues.

“It’s offered our bartending talent a glimpse into each respective venue and in turn resulted in a real appreciation of one another’s skills, craft and talent. Collaboration is a huge part of our S&J culture – so it makes sense to encourage collabs within S&J too… I’m thinking it might even get a little competitive!”

Kicking off at Varnish on King, S&J Cocktail Trail revellers will receive their passes for the Trail before enjoying light bites to start, accompanied with the debut S&J Signature Sip for the evening – the signature Varnish Whiskey Sour. 

The evening will then run like clockwork as revellers experience petite Signature Sips from each of S&J’s iconic CBD venues;

7PM Caballitos // Tommy’s Margarita
