With two beautifully sunny days behind us, summer is officially on its way. With its best program yet and revamped look, trust us when we say there’s nowhere you’ll rather spend your balmy summer nights than at Rooftop Movies.
Everyone’s favourite urban outdoor cinema is back for its seventh year bigger and better than ever. Perched atop the Roe Street City of Perth Parking so that the hustle and bustle of Northbridge is a mere memory, melt into a comfy bean bag, enjoy the sunset views, and take your pick of delish local food and drinks.
Added to the stellar food lineup this year is none other than icy treat extraordinaires Chicho and La Paleta. On top of Rooftop Movies’ new look, there’ll be a playful new installation and a special reserved seating area with couples’ beanbags, making it the no-brainer destination for your summer date nights.
Program 1 kicks off on Saturday 3 November until Friday 9 December, and rest assured when we say it has something for everyone. There’s obviously all the blockbuster new releases that you’re dying to see, like A Star Is Born, Bohemian Rhapsody, and Beautiful Boy. Then there’s also your favourite nineties and noughties throwbacks, such as George of the Jungle, The Witches, and - wait for it - The Lizzie McGuire Movie. It may not be the Colosseum, but belting out ‘This Is What Dreams Are Made Of’ under the stars with skyline views is close enough, right?
