“My night is better than your whole life” is the bold mantra of triple j favourites British India on their latest single ‘Midnight Homie (My Best Friends)’. See if the Melbourne four-piece can walk the walk at one of Perth legs of their upcoming Midnight Homie Tour.
Kicking off in Bendigo on 11 May, the Midnight Homie Tour will see British India make their way through regional and metropolitan cities in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and (of course) Western Australia, wrapping up the fun in Adelaide.
Good things come in threes
Performing at The Newport, Badlands Bar and a secret location in Scarborough, British India’s distinctively explosive live shows will feature favourites from their sixth studio album Forgetting the Future, as well as crowd favourites such as ‘Vanilla’, ‘I Can Make You Love Me’, and ‘Suddenly’.
Given the band’s longevity and ferocious sound, it’s no surprise that over their extensive career they’ve racked up four Top 10 ARIA Albums, eight entries into triple j’s Hottest 100 and a Gold-status single in the form of the angst-ridden ‘I Can Make You Love Me’.
Giving ‘fan-made’ a new meaning
To celebrate the release of ‘Midnight Homie’, British India has asked for some help from their listeners and music lovers in general for the creation of their music video.
“Send us video footage and photos of you and your best friends having the best night of your lives. These will be turned into a fan video, so you can be immortalised forever in British India history.”
To see you and your mates featured in the band’s DIY project, send your videos to wetransfer.com and your stills to midnighthomiefanvideo@gmail.com.
