Perth's biggest music festival reaches new heights (literally!)

Perth's biggest music festival will soar to new heights, with the 2019 instalment promising a party of gargantuan proportions. We are of course talking about The Ice Cream Factory Summer Festival!

Now in its third year, the factory is set to deliver a fully immersive festival experience. From six unique stages and 11 bars to custom rooftops and VIP decks, the 2019 site is set to feature incredible activations with some new surprises, as well the return of crowd favourite - the silent disco.

In a festival first, this year's event introduces the Red Bull Zipline – an 11m high, 50m long zipline, where you can soar high over the dancefloor at the packed out shows.

This year's festival has drawn in massive names including The Jungle Giants, Confidence Man and Haiku Hands in its epic line-up of Aussie and international musical talent. 

Taking to the stage on December 19, the triple threat of indie-pop legends will play an 18+ evening show, joining the host of talent already locked in to perform across the 15 days -including the likes of Peking Duk, Dom Dolla, Girl Talk, Thundamentals, Bag Raiders, LDRU, Nicole Millar and more.

The festival’s Opening Night Party will feature festival favourite LDRU, LA producer Hook N Sling and acclaimed German duo Tube & Berger, Alpine, Luke Million and Benson. 

Bag Raiders will headline the evening of December 20, premiering new sounds from their recently released second album, Horizons. Playing alongside the ARIA-nominated Sydney duo will be Melbourne artists Miami Horror, Owl Eyes and Total Giovanni.

Christmas eve sees Australian hip hop legends Thundamentals and DJ Havana Brown front and centre, smashing out their countless sing-along hits, with Girl Talk, Midnight Juggernauts and multi-instrumentalist Nyxen on December 29. 

Bringing in the new year is the Bar Pop NYE Party – a go-to for Perth party-goers on December 31, having sold out five years in a row.
